Description
To make the Agent deployment process more robust, see below the steps to download the installation package. new installation package is an MSI installer run by a SentinelOneInstaller.exe executable.
You have the option to download via Script or installer agent
Requirements
You will need the following:
- A user role with Administrator permissions.
- Download the Installation Package (see steps below)
- Get the Site Token (see steps below)
Key Note: Important: Make sure you download the file named SentinelOneInstaller.exe
The Process
Steps to Download the Installation Package:
- Download the latest SentinelOneInstaller Windows installer package.
- Important: Make sure you use the file named SentinelOneInstaller.exe (the new installer) and not SentinelInstaller.exe (the old installer).
- Best Practice: Download the file to the local endpoint
Steps to Get the Site Token
- Get the Site token that registers the Agent with a Site. This can be found in Security Controls > Endpoint Security > SentinelOne > Managed > Deploy > View Site Token
Install the Agent By Double-Clicking the File: Versions 22.2+
- Under Security Controls > Endpoint Security > Select the plan you wish to deploy (Either Managed or Bring your Own) > Select > Continue > SentinelOne account and token will be created.
- Once account and token has been created, you can:
- Deploy and download the installer.
- Get the Site Token
- Go to the folder where you downloaded the new installation package.
- Double-click the installation file.
- Follow the instructions of the wizard.
- Enter the Site Token and click Install.
- Wait for the process to complete.
