This article is to aid in provisioning Microsoft NCE licenses from Converge.
Admin access to Converge
Microsoft NCE replaces the previous CSP license system. CSP licenses are no longer visible in the drop down list, however you are still able to add to or remove from existing CSP licenses under the tenant.
Any new products provisioned will be NCE. You will note the description specifies this.
NCE product provisioned through converge are all monthly, so for any non-monthly options please follow this -> link for process.
Adjusting NCE Licenses
All NCE licenses are provisioned and renewed on a monthly basis, for a full month.
When a NCE license is provisioned, it can be cancelled within the first 7 days, and you will be charged for the number of days that the license was active for. After 7 days, a license will be then renewed in advance on a monthly basis, with the start date being the day it was first provisioned.
* 48 hours prior to the auto-renew date, Microsoft lock the subscription and no changes can be made in that time. The auto-renew date is available in Converge. See note (1) in the screen shot below.
* Note - cancelling within 7 days is currently not available in Converge, you will have to email support to request this
To increase a license, simply adjust the Quantity for the license at any time. See note (2) in the screen shot above..
To cancel a license or decrease numbers, these are scheduled to happen on the monthly renewal date, they cannot be adjusted prior to this.
Also note that in the 48 hours prior to the auto-renew date, Microsoft lock the subscription and no changes can be made in that time. The auto-renew date is available in Converge. See note (1) in the screen shot above.
To decrease numbers, adjust the Renewal Quantity. See note (4) in the screen shot above. On the auto-renew date, the licenses quantity will change to become the renewal quantity.
To cancel all of a license type, untick the Auto-renew box. See note (3) in the screen shot above. On the auto-renew date, the licenses will be cancelled.
Note that any changes will not take effect unless the 'Update' button is clicked. This will apply the changes if possible, again this won't work if Microsoft has locked the subscriptions you are trying to change.
