Description
This article covers process of setting up an Exchange account in Mozilla Thunderbird mail client, which is not supported in Intermedia environment.
Note: In Thunderbird mail client you can connect to your Exchange account only via POP/IMAP protocol.
Process
When you set up the client you need to navigate to Manual Config and use following settings:
For Incoming mail:
Email Protocol: IMAP
Server hostname: Your Incoming Mail server name. You can find the server name in HostPilot under Home > Exchange Servers & Settings > Incoming Mail (POP/IMAP).
Port: 993
Security Protocol: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Normal Password
For Outgoing mail:
Email Protocol: SMTP
Server hostname: Your Incoming Mail server name. You can find the server name in HostPilot under Home > Exchange Servers & Settings > Outgoing Mail (SMTP).
Port: 587
Security Protocol: STARTTLS
Authentication: Normal Password
Username: Full email address
Important: For POP/IMAP mailboxes on Exchange accounts you can find the server name in HostPilot® Control Panel > Services > POP/IMAP Email > Instructions.
