Description


This article outlines the process for transferring an existing Avanan account from one MSP to another when both MSPs operate under Manage Protect.


All transfers are completed by Avanan Support once the required partner approvals are provided.


Requirements


To complete this process, the following conditions must be met:

  • The Avanan account must already be licensed

  • Both MSPs must be onboarded under Manage Protect

  • Two approval emails are required:

    • An email from the incoming MSP requesting the transfer from MSP A to MSP B

    • An email from the outgoing MSP (MSP A) confirming the transfer away


The Process


1. Receive the request


The incoming MSP raises a Manage Protect support ticket requesting the transfer of an Avanan account between MSPs.


2. Advise required approvals


Manage Protect advises the partner that Avanan requires:

  • An email from the incoming MSP requesting the move from MSP A to MSP B

  • An email from the outgoing MSP confirming the transfer away


3. Validate approvals


Confirm that both approval emails:

  • Are sent by authorised representatives of the respective MSPs

  • Clearly state the account name

  • Clearly identify MSP A (current) and MSP B (new)


4. Submit to Avanan Support

  • Forward the approval emails to Avanan Support

  • Reference the relevant AVSUPPORT ticket (if applicable)


5. Transfer completion

  • Avanan completes the transfer internally

  • No portal action is required by Manage Protect or either MSP
