Description


This Article explains the process for adding an exclusion to the outbound rule in Microsoft Exchange, to allow External Automatic Replies and Out of Office Messages to be sent through Avanan. 


Requirements


  • Global Administrator, Exchange Administrator access to the customers Microsoft tenant.

The Process


This has been a known issue as automatic replies and OOF messages may not contain all the requirements for SMTP relays, which can result in undeliverable mail. Excluding these automatic replies can help resolve this issue.


The exception can be manually added to the existing Check Point - Protect Outgoing rule in Exchange as shown below:
