Description
Product Updates for March.
Please note that some of these features are being enabled gradually.
Updates:
Avanan:
MSP Portal - Mandatory Input when Creating New MSPs
- Parent MSPs / distributers creating child MSPs now need to fill out a couple of additional fields
- As the Avanan MSP Portal is serving more and more MSPs every day, we want to be able to better segment the MSPs to enhance our service to them.
- When a parent MSP creates a new child MSP, the following mandatory fields have been added to the MSP creation form:
- Website
- Country
- State (if the country is United States)
- Zip
- In addition, a new API endpoint was released (/msp/msp-partners-extended) with the above new fields as mandatory.
- Important note – to allow a smooth transition to the new API endpoint, Avanan will continue to support the legacy API endpoint (/msp/msp-partners) for 3 more months. On June 18th, 2025 this API call will be deprecated. MSPs using our APIs are requested to start using the updated API endpoint as soon as possible.
DKIM Management – Early Availability
- This feature is in Beta so it has not been released yet.
- DKIM is a critical component of DMARC for authenticating email senders and ensuring messages remain untampered with in transit. However, managing DKIM keys across multiple services can be complex, leading to outdated or improperly configured keys that weaken email security.
- Avanan simplifies DKIM management by providing centralized control over DKIM keys, eliminating the need for manual DNS updates and reducing the risk of misconfigurations - all from your existing email security portal.
- This enhancement simplifies DKIM key management, improving email security for your organization, your customers, and your partners.

Unifying Under Breach Secure Now
- On January 1, 2025, Breach Secure Now began a two-phase transition to unify PII Protect & PHI Protect under the trusted Breach Secure Now (BSN) brand.
- Phase 1 (Jan 1, 2025): Transition to "PII/PHI Protect powered by Breach Secure Now." Updated platform logo, no changes to the Teams app.
- On April 1, 2025, we will begin the second phase of this transition:
- Phase 2 (Apr 1, 2025): Full transition to "Breach Secure Now." Updated branding across all platforms, including Teams.
- This update will include URLs, sending email domains, and copyright notices displayed in emails and at the bottom of the portal.
- Clients and users can continue to access the portal through the existing URL. Starting April 1, 2025, the old URL will automatically redirect to the new one, ensuring that users are not left without access. Partners are encouraged to update internal processes for accessing the portal through the new URLs:
- PII Protect: https://portal.breachsecurenow.com/#login
- PHI Protect: https://portal.hipaasecurenow.com/#login
Guardz:
Email Security Accuracy Improvements
- Incoming emails are now processed using a new LLM-based module, enabling a much more sophisticated analysis than before.
- This change brings a noticeable improvement in detection accuracy and lays the foundation for future enhancements
SentinelOne Exclusions Management is Now Available in Guardz
- You can now manage SentinelOne exclusions directly within the Guardz platform.
- Both Bring-Your-Own (BYO) and SentinelOne Managed users can now update their exclusions list without needing to access the SentinelOne console.
- How to access it:
- Go to Security Controls > Endpoint Security to view and manage exclusions.
- This update simplifies exclusions management and reduces context switching.
Improved User Lifecycle Handling for Cloud Directory Sync
- Improvement to how Guardz handles user status changes coming from cloud directories like Google Workspace and Microsoft
- When a user is suspended in your cloud directory, they’ll now be automatically suspended in Guardz as well—without losing issue history. When reactivated, they’ll return to Active status in Guardz, along with their issues.
- What's new:
- Suspended users in Google/MS directories are now marked as Suspended in Guardz (instead of Inactive).
- Their issues are now archived, not deleted. You can still view them by filtering for archived issues.
- When the user is reactivated in the directory, they automatically become Active again in Guardz, and their issues are restored.
- Suspended users no longer count toward your subscription seat count.
- Note: If you explicitly mark a user as Inactive in Guardz, they will not be synced with cloud directory changes (including reactivation).
