Expectations for Partners Engaging in the Backup365 to Dropsuite Data Management Project

At Manage Protect, we aim to ensure that the transition from Backup365 to Dropsuite is seamless, secure, and straightforward. To set clear expectations, this guide outlines what you can expect throughout the Backup365 legacy data management exercise. We will work closely with your team to minimise any disruption and ensure a smooth process.

Pre-Migration: Initial Consultation and Data Audit

Before starting the migration, Manage Protect will send an email survey to your team. This survey will request input regarding the management of your legacy Backup365 data. You will be asked to specify whether you wish to delete, export, or migrate this data. Based on your responses, the Manage Protect Operations team will begin the migration process and will contact you if any clarification is required.

Data Retention and Compliance Requirements

The migration from Backup365 to Dropsuite will occur within AWS cloud services, ensuring minimal handling and touch points for your data. This approach maximises security and compliance while streamlining the migration process. All data will remain within AWS environments, maintaining the highest level of integrity and control throughout the transfer.

Migration Plan and Timeline

After completing the pre-migration steps, we will create a detailed timeline for the ingestion of your Backup365 legacy data into Dropsuite. We aim to complete this migration project by the 31st of December. To ensure we meet this deadline, we kindly ask for your prompt response to the survey and any additional requests for information.

It is important to note that there will be no interruptions to your Dropsuite service during the data ingestion process. The timeframe for the migration will largely depend on the size of your data.

Data Transfer and Validation

The Manage Protect team will securely handle the data transfer from Backup365 to Dropsuite. After the migration is complete, our team will perform a thorough validation to ensure that all data has been correctly migrated.

The costs associated with this exercise primarily cover the extraction of data from the Backup365 AWS storage container.
