Description


If MFA is active on your account, you will need to bypass MFA in order to enable it. 


To do this, there are two options: 

Option 1 - You will need to turn off the Security Defaults in the Microsoft 365 Portal. 

Option 2 - Contact support@manageprotect.com


Please note: As soon as you disable the security defaults. You will need wait until the Backup365 service is provisioned to turn it back on. This can take up to 1 hour to finalise provisioning.


Requirements

  • Global Admin Credentials to Microsoft 365 portal
  • Access to Converge


The Process


Option 1: Disable Security Defaults in the Microsoft Azure portal; 

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as a Global Administrator.
  2. Browse to Identity > Overview > Properties.
    1. Select Manage security defaults.
  3. Set Security defaults to Disabled (not recommended).
  4. Select Save.
  5. Select Disable



Option 2: Provision Backup365 in Converge and contact support@manageprotect.com for the provisioning links. 

1. Log in to Converge

2. Select Customer account

3. Under "Select Service" in the pull down, select "Backup365"

4. Enter tenant domain, Global Admin Credentials


5. Contact support@manageprotect.com with the Tenant ID for the customer and we will provide you with the provisioning links

These provisioning links will bypass MFA.



To find the Tenant ID:

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center.

  2. Browse to Identity > Overview > Properties.

  3. Scroll down to the Tenant ID section and you can find your tenant ID in the box.
