Description
This guide explains how to securely share a file or folder in Workplace, and only allow specific email addresses to access the share.
Requirements
- Workplace account, with a required file or folder to share
- Email address OR domain of the people who will be accessing the share.
The Process
If you are working from the agent:
To share a file or folder from the local computer, right click the folder in file explorer, and click Share, and create public share.
Click to Allow public access, and click email validation required.
Enter the domain or email address of people who will require access.
The link can now be copied and sent to the recipient.
When they click on the link, they will be sent to a browser page which will request their email address.
Only email address that match the parameter specified when sharing will have access.
