From the 22nd of April 2020 onwards, a number of Office 365 SMB licences have had their names changed to reflect the rebranding of Office 365 for Business to Microsoft 365.
There will be no change in price, and the service functionality isn't changing at all. Existing Office 365 licenses purchased through Manage Protect will begin to appear on your monthly invoice as their new "Microsoft 365" as of the 1st of June 2020. This is important to note for Partners who have automated integration set up with their own billing platforms.
Any new licenses provisioned after the 22nd of April will follow the new "Microsoft 365" naming convention.
You will also still see the name "Office 365" In regards to certain Enterprise and Academic SKU's. Microsoft have made no announcement as to when or if those licenses will change.
