This article will cover issues with the backup not running when you have selected a Dropbox folder that has Smart Sync enabled.
- An Endpoint Backup Customer
- Endpoint Backup Agent installed
- Dropbox Agent installed with Smart Sync enabled
If you have enabled Dropbox Smart Sync and chose to backup that folder, you will find that the Backup does not complete. This is due to the file not being fully downloaded until you access it. As it is still listed in the file structure Endpoint Backup will not be able to complete the Backup and will get stuck on these folders.
At this time we recommend that you do not select a Dropbox folder that has Smart Sync enabled on it for Backup.
